  • "The food was delicious! My husband had the scallops and I had the salmon. They were both pretty good. The dining area is kind of weird though. It is like an open area and you can see the bar/lobby. I think they should curtain this area off so it feels more like a restaurant instead of part of the lobby. Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed the food."

  • "This was the third time I had dinner at 10Arts and the food has always been consistently very good. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was vibrant. What I found surprising was the lack of dinner patrons. Our reservation was for 8PM. When we showed up I was impressed that the host knew who we were so easily but after entering the restaurant I realized that there was just one other couple having dinner at the time. Again, service and food were very good but I like the atmosphere and people watching of a busy and crowded restaurant."

  • "We stayed at the Ritz to kickoff our vacation (flying out of Philly the following morning). Have always wanted to eat here but very disappointed with the entrees. Drinks were very good - had the Philadelphian and Rosemary's Baby. The mussel appetizer was excellent. Strangely the Bronzino with the mussels and shrimp was not. The Bronzino was excellent but the accompanying shrimp tasted old and 3 of the 9 mussels were bad. Husband the the steak which was disappointing - we've had hanger steak that was tender at a number of other restaurants. We were also disappointed that the restaurant was essentially part of the lounge and not separate. Don't know if I would go back."

  • "The last time I was at 10 Arts was when Jennifer was still in the kitchen. I decided to give it another shot because I was in the area, but I can not stress enough how much this place went down hill. The meal started with cold wine bread with ricotta. It was a combination of the deadly slow service and pre grilled bread that made this course dreadful. That was followed up with the most uninspiring cheese course I had ever had. The cheeses were not fresh and no one even told us what they were. For my entree I had the strip steak and the liquid smoke was so overwhelming it was barely palatable. The stem of the onion wasn't even cut off. On top of this, we had to chase down our waiter who preferred to watch the Phillies game at the bar."

  • "The service here is absolutely outstanding. We all felt well cared for. The proteins (I had scallops, husband had black cod, and daughter had a duck pasta sauce) were excellent. What fell short were the sides that my husband and I had. My dandelion was too crunchy and bitter. The one thing that surprised me is they ran out of the wine I was drinking! It was a great Reisling, but only one glass... The deserts were very tasty and the coffee was really a nice ending."

  • "Careful diners. When you make a reservation for 10 Arts Bistro, they may rent out the whole space to a private party and not tell you (this happened to me Thurs April 3). You arrive and are seated instead in a dim and dull side-room normally used for other things. I talked to the restaurant by phone twice to confirm our reservation, and nothing was ever said about the room switch. And at the time it happened, the hostess couldn't understand why it might matter! Of course we left and had to wander around looking for a restaurant without reservations."

  • "Despite being a restaurant at the Ritz it falls short of the brand and expectation for good food and elegance. The setting is stunning, and appropriate for a bistro/lounge. Menu is very limited, but despite that the food was well prepared. The server was attentive but did not know the menu, the dishes, or the prep. Simply put- "charcuterie- they slice the meats here", no details on the cheese plate, unable to recommend a wine (tried several wines from the list-selection of mediocre to bad wines). It is ok if you want a small bite (albeit limited choices) of standard fare (oysters, burger, salad, etc) and suggest cocktail rather than wine."

  • "Perhaps my expectation as an over-60 diner no longer matches today's world, but I expected a full-service restaurant with a complete menu, and the ability to hear my dining partner. Instead, we were seated in the rotunda, not the restaurant (where I had made my resservation for); less that five entrees were offered; and while the rotunda was grand, was not where I expected to dine - it was noisy. The actual dining room was closed....on a Thursday night."

  • "The restaurant is beautiful and the food was quite good. I had the steak special with roasted trumpet mushroom and a wine reduction glaze -- delicious. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful but the bar is busy and a bit noisy -- but not too much. I was alone, son conversation was not a problem, but I am certain I would have been able to talk to a friend."

  • "They've taken what used to be a wonderful place and ruined it. The menu has been reduced to practically nothing; what remains isn't very interesting and isn't particularly good. The space is now little more than a wing of the lobby -- they don't seem to want to use the (slightly more private) main dining space anymore. All that;'s left of the original concept is the deafeningly noisy open space of the lobby, so that you can't really converse. I used to love this restaurant; I'll never waste time or money here again. What a shame."

  • "The elegance that used to be in the lobby is no more due to changing of the guards obviously.There was a time when the ambience in the lobby was of a european/old world elegance and charm.Now its just plain RED with awkward neon glowing lit pillars of square angles that completely clash with the stoic iconic Greek pillars that engulf the room with a feeling of mythological grace and presence.The abundant amount of tables disorients guests as they enter.Not every hotel should be dictated by a modern look or approach.If I'm going to pay $14 for a cocktail, which I expected to spend there,I'd like my atmosphere commensurate.As for the food offerings,serving fingerling size soft pretzels is really dumbing it down.Macncheese with ham?wontreturn."

  • "Being the hotel restaurant in the Ritz Carlton it was easy to get a reservation here when all of our other Philly favorites were booked solid. The place is huge and takes residence in the historic column lined lobby of the RitzCarlton which is a very cool space, but not at all intimate. Our waiter seemed baffled by basic menu questions. My wife ordered the steak special and he came back later to say that that prep was no longer available. He was flustered to help her figure out a replacement. My main course (an orange and lemon infused Duck Ragou over pasta) was just pasta with duck meat and red sauce. It was good but not as advertized. The salad and appetizer were the best things we ate."

  • "Welcoming was pleasant. Beautiful structure/venue. Service was extremely poor. Beverage glasses were always empty and took a long time to clear table after each course. Staff lingered around rather than attending to guests. Food had a great taste but was not hot when arriving at table. Also, portions were much to be desired. Over priced experience and we will not return."

  • "An elegant setting for a fine Pumpkin Seed soup and Seared Atlantic Salmon, both perfect unlike the rest of our selections. The Banana Cream Pie, waiter's recommendation, was but a figment of this classic's memory: overly sugary tart, no pastry cream, dark banana compote and a foamy version of a cream topping. While the waiter and servers were good, the friendly F&B director was solicitous but not enough to evoke the truth about our dissatisfaction. What really impressed us was the reservation specialist, receptionist, concierge and coat check service role that Elizabeth played in representing 10 Arts from A to Z. Quick, anticipatory, accurate and warmly engaging service defined for the three of us the finest of a five star hotel."

We both ordered the hamburger and although it was delicious, we did not think it was worth $18. Having been there before, I knew what to expect. Because of the ambience, I would go back for no other reason but a special occasion."

The house salad was terribly wilted and the Trout entree was dry and seemed to be missing a sauce that it had the previous time. Overall we had a nice time and will go back, hoping that the chef just had an off night."

  • "We picked 10 Arts for Christmas dinner because they actually had a menu, and not a buffet. The food was OK, the lobster bisque better than OK. As we had just gotten off a plane from Europe, the fact that it was quiet was a bonus. The dinner with a friend was pleasant, and that's the best I can say about it."

  • "Going to a Ritz Carlton for a family Christmas Day dinner one would expect outstanding food, a great service and an overall festive spirit. Service was as though we were in an IHop restaurant for a casual lunch on a random day, frequently wrong items arrived, we had to ask repeatedly for items which should have arrived automatically eg bread , ketchup for the kids, drink refills... Food in general was ok, but many items bland. Sent back one course. Petit fours were completely in edible... When I informed to waitress about this, she just shrugged and gave me the cheque. She then took almost 20 mins to pick up the credit card! Would definitely avoid this place for any special occasion...."

  • "Enjoyed the decor the lobby for holiday, the food had much to be desired. The menu selection was much too limited. Short ribs were tasty by very dry. They were served with Brussel sprouts and sweet potato au gratin.Sprouts they were delicious, au gratin was under cooked. The music was loud for a casual gathering venue. Our server, Simone, did ask if it was too loud and offered to have it lowered, which she did. She was very accommodating! I found it unusual that bread came at a price of $2.00 per (small) basket. This is a beautiful venue and gathering space to meet for a drink and small snack but dinner isn't on my list again."

The waitress was slow and obviously overwhelmed, and although the mussels were good, the remainder of the food was OK at best...very disappointing considering the steep prices...."

  • "We were a group of four and no one was happy with their meal. My $34 entre of short rib was down right terrible (the meat was dry and stringy - gratin on the side was inedible - plain buttered brussel sprouts with no seasoning). Our service was also extremely slow. The only silver lining was the Cappucinno I had at the end of the night. We brought friends from out of town and I was a little embarassed. Maybe an off night?? I'm was shocked to get that kind of food at a Ritz Carlton in an Eric Ripert restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful. Hopefully they can get the food up to par. I could recommend this place for pre-dinner drinks (if you are having dinner elsewhere), because it is quite beautiful."

  • "Returned to 10Arts for many of our old favorites. The staff and management immediately recognized us and treated us very well. Chef came out and described many of his specials for the evening which we had to try. Chicken, oysters, Langoustines and brook trout were all really well done and delicious. Another winner at 10Arts."
